I read a post a couple of weeks ago by a Talent Acquisition Manager that sparked a debate in our team about how we and other agencies are perceived.
In the post, she talked about how Talent Acquisition have a much more strategic approach to recruiting compared with recruiters;
‘recruiters are more transactional and focused on immediate hiring needs, while talent acquisition professionals take a strategic and long-term approach to building a strong and sustainable workforce for the company.’
Funnily enough when we looked at the list of TA qualities compared with the Recruiter qualities, K.A.G. conclusively aligned with Talent Acquisition.
We care about a long-term approach, really understanding the businesses that we work with, anticipating their future hiring needs, we are involved in employer branding, sourcing strategies, building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates, retention and diversity hiring.
Maybe we should change our name!
