Electrical Engineer

Due to expansion within the team we have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Yetminster.

Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Location:  Yetminster
Salary:  £32,570 – £39,500 (DOE)
Hours of Work –  Monday to Friday as per 4 week shift rotation. Will be required to work one Saturday in four.

Purpose of the role:
You will work as part of the Engineering Team who are responsible for the efficient up keep and smooth performance of the factory. Reporting to Site Engineering Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure successful completion of assigned Mechanical & Electrical Reactive and preventative maintenance in a safe and timely manner
Ensuring full compliancy at all times whilst on site in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors to the site
Ensure all paperwork and check sheets are completed in an accurate and timely manner
Ability to prioritise work load as required, liaising with your manager to ensure a satisfactory outcome to all work undertaken
Contribute towards continuous improvement and development projects
Overhauling assets and replacing parts according to a planned maintenance schedule
Responding immediately to machinery breakdowns to ensure line efficiencies are minimised.
The ideal candidate will have completed an Electrical/Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent, have good interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to meet the demand of a fast paced food environment.
You will have a strong understanding of Industrial Electronics (Knowledge in Control Panels/Systems, variable speed drives, motors, low voltage DC, single and three phase wiring, etc.
Strong fault finding and diagnosing skills and the ability to take action to ensure all issues are resolved
You will be a strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
