Solutions Architect

K.A.G. Recruitment are delighted to have been instructed to support our client to recruit a Solution Architect to join their existing team based in Worcester.

Role: Solutions Architect
Salary: £66,500 – Package: Pension contribution (4% employee, 4% company),25 days holiday, Critical Illness cover, Life assurance, Medical insurance, Cycle to work scheme
Location: Worcester   – Hybrid – with travel required
Hours: 37.5

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of Technical strategy, strategy planning and execution.
  • Provide technical guidance and oversight in a way that maximises the autonomy and independence of delivery teams whilst driving to a cohesive organisational vision.
  • Apply a consistent approach to decision making around Technology, taking account of risk, impact, and business factors such as cost and skills in the implementation of the strategy.
  • Create Architecture design and implementation frameworks to build distributed systems.
  • Guide the Technical decisions that shape an Architecture over time with the goal of improving along multiple prioritised business and technology dimensions simultaneously.
  • Design and implement software which exhibits good security properties.
  • Guide and champion Agile and lean principles for achieving quality, adaptability, speed & alignment.

Requirements:
You will be educated to degree level in an IT related discipline and possess Commercial Software Development experience along with Technical Knowledge.

You will have the ability to identify and manage risk through to completion and be an exceptional communicator with strong leadership skills.

This role will involve occasional travel to other sites, so a full UK driver’s license is essential.
