Production Planner

We currently have a fantastic new opportunity for a Production Planner to join our client, a leading Food Manufacturer based in Shrewsbury to join their existing team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare and amend plans on a daily basis, to incorporate; changed orders, production issues, engineering issues or quality issues to achieve customer service of 100%
• Ensure smooth and efficient flow from Production to Despatch.
• Plan for seasonal and promotional activity by using information supplied by customer.
• Plan the weekly stock offer to group level planning
• Communicate efficiently all relevant information between customers, staff and site.
• Investigate differences in stock reconciliation and inform relevant managers.
• Monitor any over and under production lines and adjust plans accordingly to result in more effective and efficient stock control.
• Distribute haulage requirements to the relevant departments.
• Communicate any potential stock issues effectively
• Have a sound understanding of the different specifications required by the customer and how this effects requirements of product type, quality and quantities of production.
• Ensure clearly communicated plans drive effective utilisation of resources and maximise gross margin.
• Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure maturation and that product is utilised in a timely manner to eliminate stock write offs.

The successful candidate will have proven experience working within a Food /FMCG Manufacturing environment.

You will be a strong communicator with the ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment with the ability to influence both Internal and External Stakeholders.

You will possess excellent attention to detail with good IT and Excel skills with a numerical mindset and a drive to improve planning efficiencies.
