As a Multi-skilled Engineer at the Hereford Factory, you’ll be part of a dynamic team operating on a 5-shift continental pattern. This schedule provides you with regular opportunities to engage in Engineering Projects, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and Training & Development, ensuring your career growth.

Job Title: Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Hereford
Salary: £39,000 to £53,000 depending on experience, with an additional shift allowance of £7785.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

Working collaboratively as a vital member of the Engineering Team, your role is pivotal in enhancing plant reliability and operational efficiency. You’ll implement robust maintenance strategies, swiftly resolve plant issues and breakdowns, and ensure minimal downtime. As a high-caliber Multi-skilled Engineer, you’ll bring a logical problem-solving approach to the table, make rapid decisions, and leverage your technical expertise across a diverse range of equipment and technologies.

Key Responsibilities as a Multi-skilled Engineer:

  • Execute planned preventative maintenance activities with a strong focus on safe plant operations and product quality.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of maintenance systems and procedures.
  • Actively engage in continuous improvement endeavors to boost plant capability and equipment reliability.
  • Play a role in plant upgrades, modifications, and capital investment projects.
  • Mentor and support fellow engineers and operational technicians as needed.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on plant equipment and technologies.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with process machinery or equivalent equipment.

Qualifications We Seek:

  • Completion of a time-served Multi-skilled Apprenticeship in an Engineering discipline.
  • HNC qualification in an Engineering discipline.
  • Exceptional diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Proactive and safety-focused mindset.
  • Strong technical leadership abilities.
  • Capability to thrive under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with clarity.
