Mechanical Fitter (Pump Gearboxes)

We have been instructed exclusively to recruit Mechanical Fitters to join our client a technology driven, specialist industrial services provider offering a wide range of mechanical engineering solutions and technical services to a broad spectrum of industries at several of their locations across the UK.

Job Title: Mechanical Fitter  ( Pump Gearboxes)

Locations: Cardiff, Leeds, Haydock or Southampton

Salary: Upto £34k DOE + OT (time and a half Mon-Sat & Double pay on Sunday/ Bank holiday)

Duties:

• General fitting.
• Dismantling of motors, gearbox’s, pumps, fan units etc. on mechanically and electrically rotating equipment.
• Identification of faults and parts required to carry out a full repair.
• Fill out damage report card and identify failure mode.
• Fully assemble the asset with new parts required and identified in a timely manner.
• Maintaining high quality repair and service.
• Have a very high understanding and attitude towards Safety within the workshop and to other employees.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and possess a sound understanding of Mechanical Engineering and have worked on both Motors and Gearboxes, Electrical knowledge would also be highly advantageous.

You will be a strong communicator and have the ability to work well as part of a team or independently.
