We have an amazing opportunity available for an IT Graduate to join a market leading Food Manufacturer and start your career with this fantastic company on a 2 year Graduate Programme which leads to a permanent role.

Salary: 28,000
Location: Birmingham with regular travel to other locations (UK wide)

Purpose of the Role:

The company’s UK IT Team provides all Information Technology services within the business and ensures that IT Services are secure, highly available, perform to a high level and meet with the business quality requirements. They cover all aspects of IT from service desk, support and operations, and project delivery. They follow industry leading methodologies such as Prince2, ITIL 4, TOGAF, and COBIT and work hard to deliver an IT service that the business needs to be the best at what it does. The role entails training across all aspects of day-to-day service delivery, encompassing a large variation of technologies, management of IT and includes regular travel to GB and Northern Ireland sites.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

Your ultimate goal will be to progress towards becoming a member of the IT team and running IT at one of the sites in the UK. From day one, you’ll get real responsibility and an opportunity to work alongside senior management teams. Your journey will take in everything from understanding service management practices, learning new technologies, provision of IT support, upgrading and maintaining existing services and supporting the delivery of new solutions. You will have opportunities to build your technical skills for end user compute, production systems, on-premise and cloud based solutions.

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level in an IT related discipline, Ideally Computing and IT and be passionate about forging a career working within IT. You will have the ability to learn quickly and possess a service-oriented approach, to deliver the best possible service, one that is empathetic, responsive, and able to communicate to a high calibre.
