Food Specification Technologist

We have an amazing opportunity available for a Food Specification Technologist to join a leading Food Manufacturer based at their flagship site in Ellesmere, Shropshire.

Role:        Food Specification Technologist

Location: Ellesmere Shropshire
Job Type: Permanent
Hours:     8.30-17.00 (Flexibility available)

Duties Include:

• Generate and maintain Customer specifications for all site customers
• Completion of Scorecards, Questionnaires, Visits and Audits
• Work alongside the Packaging Team to generate labels
• Ensuring all artwork is correct and gain site approval
• Work with NPD to ensure that the correct information is passed over for the generation of specifications
• Review all procedures within customer systems and let relevant personnel know of any upcoming
• Review and monitor nutritional data and ensure they meet FSA and customer requirements
• Review and approve Ingredient specifications
• Manager Specification Administrator

Skills:-

• Experience working in a factory environment
• Food and Drink Labelling Certificate
• Knowledge of Retailer systems (Evolve, Hive, Connect)
• Customer Facing experience
• Experience with generating and approving of artworks
• Competent in Microsoft Packages – Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience within a similar role working in the food industry.
You will possess strong organisational skills with the ability to understand detailed information along with excellent communication skills in order to form effective working relationships across the business.
