Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Leeming Bar
Salary: £60,000 + Annual Bonus & (LTIP) – Holidays 25 days +stats
Hours: 35 Hours per week – Flexibility around start and finish times 

Purpose of the role:
The position of Financial Controller is an extremely exciting opportunity to play a part in the company’s expansion plans and create the financial path for the future.  Reporting directly to the CEO this position is instrumental to our clients growth and future development.

You will be responsible for all aspects of the site’s financial procedures including weekly profitability reporting, month-end closing, cost control, forecasts, budget and other projects as necessary.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Submit accurately and timely weekly financial reports, including P&L and customer profitability reports.
• Responsible for managing the month-end close, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Review and sign off payroll.
• Work with senior management and provide financial analysis for all business proposals.
• Review balance sheet accounts monthly to confirm reconciliation and supporting backup.
• Prepare and review daily costings for site
• Purchase order authorisation and sign off purchase invoices
• Prepare and review annual Budgets and Business Plans.
• Audit preparation and completion
• Ensure accurate stock volumes and values at all times.
• Coordinate requests and documentation related to external and internal audits.
• Involvement in process improvement initiatives and establishing best practices.
• Prepare full Management Accounts – end to end process
• Investor meetings and Budget sign off

You will ideally have previous experience within a similar commercial industry and have experience of managing a team.  You will have excellent attention to detail and strong numerical skills and be able to demonstrate commercial focus and knowledge of business operations, experience of working within a Food or FMCG environment would also be highly advantageous.
