Condition Monitoring Engineer

As an essential member of the Engineering Team, you will ensure the peak performance and reliability of Manufacturing equipment, boosting both safety and efficiency across all site assets.
Role: Condition Monitoring Engineer
Location: Bromborough
Department: Engineering Department
Report To: Engineering Co-ordinator
Salary: £43,000
Hours: Monday – Friday 8am -5pm
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure peak performance of all site assets with your expertise in both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Engage in root cause analysis and improvement projects to elevate plant reliability and efficiency.
- Use the latest techniques and condition-based monitoring to maintain and improve assets to their optimal levels.
- Provide consistent mechanical and electrical support for all assets and projects within your area of expertise.
- Champion a culture of safety and quality, leading by example and participating in audits and customer visits.
Who You Are:
- A hands-on Engineer with substantial experience in Technical Engineering.
- Qualified in Mechanical/Electrical disciplines (BTEC or similar) with a talent for diagnosing and fixing a range of equipment issues.
- A safety-first advocate with experience in risk assessment and managing safe working practices, particularly with high-hazard equipment.
- An excellent communicator who can prioritise effectively in a busy environment and lead others to improve their technical skills.
- Knowledgeable in Lean and Asset Care Excellence, with solid experience in Root Cause Analysis and condition-based monitoring.
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Total Productive Maintenance or Operator-Led Asset Care.
- Knowledge of statutory compliance, particularly in high-risk utilities, and adept at using CMMS and programming PLCs.
- FMCG/Food Industry Exposure.
Qualifications:
- Proven technical prowess: Modern Apprenticeship in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, NVQ Level 3, HNC, or similar.
- Certified in 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and Basic Food Hygiene.
- Bonus points for Lean Manufacturing, IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications, FLT, and MEWP certifications.
