Business Analyst

We have a NEW exciting opportunity available for a Business Analyst focusing on the development and delivery of systems to join our client a market leading Food Manufacturer in their existing IT Team based at their Head Office in Birmingham.

Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Birmingham – Hybrid 
Salary: 40,000 – 45,000 DOE

Purpose of the Role:
To deliver business solutions and requirements in line with the business demands through continuous improvement, End to end design and implementation of Business Systems following approved design, change and project management frameworks whilst providing a key link between the business and IT.

Key responsibilities:

• Use defined, agreed upon, Business Analysis methods in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and for the enhancement of existing applications.
• Analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
• Working with various implementation teams, both formal and informal, to ensure successful delivery and roll out of change initiatives. This may include production of training materials, standard operating procedures and data migration documents.
• Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support capital investments.
• Working with business representatives (Process Owners) and IT teams to understand and deliver business requirements.
• Define, document and agree processes that meet the agreed business goals and translate into operational processes within the relevant business systems. 
• Working as part of the IT team to integrate and align current and future business system projects with the agreed strategy. 
• Assisting in the resolution of business issues through the effective use of technology.
• Managing and liaising with external suppliers and contractors as appropriate.
• Work in a structured way using the agreed change methodologies for Business Analysis and produce change deliverables / documentation in a timely manner.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level in an IT related discipline and have excellent attention to detail.  You will be analytical in approach and possess experience in provision of systems support and analysis, process, design, delivery and management of business systems with a proven understanding of interface design between enterprise solutions.

You will have prior knowledge and experience of software and process testing along with a high degree of systems implementation experience/ business knowledge.

Previous experience using query tools and writing queries is highly desirable along with the ability to work in a structured environment.  ITIL V4 & Prince 2 would also be highly advantageous.

Regular travel to other sites within the business and occasional travel to suppliers is required, you must therefore hold a full UK driving licence.
