Multi Skilled Engineer
We have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced Engineer to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Leeming Bar.
Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer
Location: Leeming Barr
Salary: £31,500 – £42,000 – DOE
Hours of Work: 2 Days (7am – 7pm) – 2 Nights (7pm – 7am) – 4 off, Flexibility on Weekend Shifts is available in line with the sites Production requirements.
Purpose of the role:
As a Site Engineer you will possess a strong technical knowledge and be seen as the shift expert in at least one area of the factory or type of machinery. Working as a member of your shift team you will be responsible for maintaining the equipment OEE and minimising downtime, you will be report directly into the Engineering Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
It would be advantageous to be able to demonstrate relevant engineering competencies and have experience with meat processing & packaging machinery.
Record and log maintenance requests and fault repairs, attend breakdowns and repair in a timely and controlled manner.
Progress reporting to Engineering Management
Must be proactive to complete scheduled work plans, start-up checks etc. in a timely manner
Carryout special projects as required by the Engineering Management team
Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation
Liaise with the production team to ensure production KPIs are achieved.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of ONC/NVQ in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines. Ideally having completed an apprenticeship or an equivalent formal training programme in installation and maintenance that includes relevant practical experience. Additional equipment specific training will be given.
You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to take direction and challenge in a professional manner along with proven experience of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance and installations and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

Assistant Engineering Manager
We have an amazing opportunity available for an Assistant Engineering Manager to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Shropshire.
Job Title: Assistant Engineering Manager
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 DOE
Hours of Work: 7am to 7pm, 4 on 4 off shifts
Purpose of the role:
The Assistant Engineering Manager will be tasked with reviewing Machinery performance & Efficiency and developing the Preventative maintenance strategy, Analysing preventative Maintenance and Effectiveness, Reliability engineering techniques, Route cause analysis, Condition monitoring and analysis. C.I Initiatives, Energy Reduction, Planned Maintenance Schedules, Engineering Training, Standard Operating Procedures, Capital Projects.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within a Manufacturing environment managing effectiveness on preventative machinery. You will be looking to progress from your current role having had experience of managing teams and leading shifts in the tasks required.

Job Title: Graduate Engineer
Location: West Midlands
Salary: 25,000 plus annual bonus
Purpose of the role:
The role will be focussed on delivering detailed structural design and calculations for a variety of building components and materials. These will vary from full structural steel frames to window frames and cladding support systems. You will have input into the drafting process and liaise with external designers, engineers and architects ensuring that the final design is fit for purpose – practical, buildable and cost-effective.
As the Graduate Engineer you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to develop your technical skills while delivering live project work.
Produce code-compliant designs for varied materials and systems
Substantiate designs with formal calculations for internal and external review
Brief and work with designers to ensure that the engineer’s schemes are correctly interpreted
Check drawings and calculations produced by others
Review and interpret technical drawings
Assist in answering technical queries
Attend design team meetings as the company’s representative
Use and develop design tools in various software packages to increase efficiency
The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level with a minimum 2.1 classification in a Mechanical or Structural Engineering discipline, you will also have A-Level or equivalent at grades A-C in Maths and Physics.
You will be fully conversant with MS office and other common desktop packages and ideally have some experience with 2D and 3D CAD packages along with the ability to demonstrate sound understanding of basic structural behaviour.
The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator who can demonstrate sound reasoning, engineering judgement and problem-solving skills.

We have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in York.
Job Title: Electrical Engineer
Salary: £30,000 – 35,000 – DOE
Hours of Work: Monday – Friday – 05.00-13.30 & 08.00-16.30
Duties & Responsibilities:
Working as part of our existing Engineering team your expertise will lie within the Electrical field, you will be qualified to 17th edition along with experience in testing and inspection.
It would be highly advantageous to be able to demonstrate relevant engineering competencies and have experience with Packing Machinery and in particular; Handtmann, Mondini, Multivac, Marel and associated equipment.
You will have experience within an industrial background, preferably within the food industry however this isn’t essential.
You will be able demonstrate excellent standards in Quality & Safety and have exceptional fault-finding skills with a working knowledge of inverters.
The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of BTEC L3 and NVQ L3 in an Electrical related discipline.
You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to take direction and challenge in a professional manner along with proven working experience within this discipline.
It is highly advantageous that you have experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment along with strong project management skills.
