Multi Skilled Engineer

Due to continued growth we have a number of opportunities available for Multi Skilled Engineers to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Doncaster.

Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer 

Location: Doncaster

Salary: 31,500 – 37,500

Hours of Work: 2 Days (6am – 6pm) – 2 Nights (6pm – 6am) – 4 off

Purpose of the role:

As a Site Engineer you will possess a strong technical knowledge and be seen as the shift expert in at least one area of the factory or type of machinery. Working as a member of your shift team you will be responsible for maintaining the equipment OEE and minimising downtime. You will be accountable to the Engineering Manager/Assistant Managers but will report into and receive direction from your Engineering Supervisor regarding the day to day activities you will undertake.

Duties & Responsibilities

It would be advantageous to be able to demonstrate relevant engineering competencies and have experience with Packing Machinery and in particular; Handtmann, Mondini, Multivac and associated equipment
Record and log maintenance requests and fault repairs, attend breakdowns and repair in a timely and controlled manner.
Progress reporting to Engineering Management / Supervisor
Must be proactive to complete scheduled work plans, start-up checks etc. in a timely manner
Carryout special projects as required by the Engineering Management team
Comply with health and safety and food safety legislation
Liaise with the production team to ensure we supply our customer

The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of ONC/NVQ in a Electrical related discipline with 17th edition qualification, you will also ideally have completed an apprenticeship or an equivalent formal training programme in installation and maintenance that includes relevant practical experience.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to take direction and challenge in a professional manner along with proven experience of planned maintenance systems, breakdown maintenance and installations and knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

It is highly advantageous that you have experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Due to internal promotion we have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Ellesmere.

Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer 

Location:  Ellesmere

Salary: 32.000 – 39.500 DOE

Hours of Work –  Days and Shifts Available

Purpose of the role:

FMCG Engineer

We have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced FMCG Engineer to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Ellesmere.

Job Title: FMCG Engineer

Location: Ellesmere

Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work –  4 on 4 off, 12 hour shift rotating days and nights

Purpose of the role:

Working within the Retail department as a multi-skilled engineer you will possess a strong FMCG background and be a key member in driving the goals of the team. Working as a member of your shift team you will be responsible for adhering to maintenance plans, responding to reactive situations and driving continuous improvements. You will be accountable to the Engineering Manager/Assistant Managers but will report into and receive direction from your Engineering Supervisor regarding the day to day activities you will undertake.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Record and log maintenance activities using the CMMS system.
  • Liaise with Production and other operational departments to ensure we supply our customer in a timely manner.
  • Comply with Health and Food Safety legislation.
  • Be proactive in your approach to maintenance tasks and continuous improvement.
  • Carry out special projects as required by the Engineering Management team.
  • Drive the development of yourself and the team with the assistance of the Engineering Management team.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of ONC/NVQ in an Engineering related discipline, you will also ideally have completed an apprenticeship or an equivalent formal training programme in installation and maintenance that includes relevant practical experience. Skill bias is not important however safe working knowledge of both mechanical and electrical systems is essential.

It would be highly advantageous to have experience within Food Process Machinery. You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to take direction and also challenge in a professional manner. You will have proven experience of using planned maintenance systems and effective fault diagnosis.

Electrical Engineer

Due to internal progression we have a new opportunity available for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Ellesmere


Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Location:  Ellesmere

Salary: Competitive

Hours of Work: Monday – Friday – 05.00-13.30 & 08.00-16.30 & 10.00 – 18.30

Duties & Responsibilities:

Working as part of our existing Engineering team your expertise will lie within the Electrical field, you will be qualified to 18th edition along with experience in testing and inspection.

You will have experience within an industrial background, preferably within the food industry however this isn’t essential.

You will be able demonstrate excellent standards in Quality & Safety and have exceptional fault-finding skills with a working knowledge of inverters.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a minimum of BTEC L3 and NVQ L3 in an Electrical related discipline.

You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to take direction and challenge in a professional manner along with proven working experience within this discipline.

It is highly advantageous that you have experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment along with strong project management skills.

Multi Skilled Engineer

Due to expansion within the team we have an amazing opportunity available for an experienced Multi Skilled Engineer to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their site in Yetminster.

Job Title: Multi Skilled Engineer 

Location:  Yetminster

Salary: 28,000-32,000 DOE

Hours of Work –  Monday to Friday as per 4 week shift rotation. Will be required to work one Saturday in four.

Purpose of the role:

You will work as part of the Engineering Team who are responsible for the efficient up keep and smooth performance of the factory. Reporting to Site Engineering Manager

Duties & Responsibilities:

Ensure successful completion of assigned Mechanical & Electrical Reactive and preventative maintenance in a safe and timely manner

 

Ensuring full compliancy at all times whilst on site in accordance with any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of staff and visitors to the site

 

Ensure all paperwork and check sheets are completed in an accurate and timely manner

 

Ability to prioritise work load as required, liaising with your manager to ensure a satisfactory outcome to all work undertaken

 

Contribute towards continuous improvement and development projects

 

Overhauling assets and replacing parts according to a planned maintenance schedule

 

Responding immediately to machinery breakdowns to ensure line efficiencies are minimised.

 

The ideal candidate will have completed an Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent, have good interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to meet the demand of a fast paced food environment.

You will have a strong understanding of Industrial Electronics (Knowledge in Control Panels/Systems, variable speed drives, motors, low voltage DC, single and three phase wiring, etc.

Strong fault finding and diagnosing skills and the ability to take action to ensure all issues are resolved

 

You will be a strong communicator who works well as part of a team.
