Electronics Engineer
We have an exciting opportunity available for an Electronics Engineer to join our client a leading Manufacturer based in Coventry.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic company who are at the forefront of process measurement instrumentation. As the Company is moving into new areas of technology and growing global sales, they are looking for an Electronics Engineer to join their existing team.
Role: Electronics Engineer
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
Location: Coventry (CV5 6ET)
Purpose of the role:
To support the development and production team in the specification and sourcing of electronic components and associated electronic circuit design and knowledge in the following areas would be highly advantageous:
- Electronic CAD design systems such as KiCAD, Eagle V6, EasyPC V22 & V26 or other similar systems
- Understanding of circuit diagrams and electronic circuits, PCB layout design
- Measurement technology (temperature, voltage and current measurement, ultrasonics)
- Power electronics, voltage converters, power supplies
- Bus systems and their functionality (I2C, SPI, UART, USB, RS 485, RS 232, etc.)
- Embedded programming skills C for microcontrollers (Microchip, STM, TI, Altera (CPLD/FPGA))
- Optional ASM, C++, HTML, JS, C# and VB.Net
Duties include:
- Obsolete part checks and finding replacements, designing alternative circuits for our current product range and liaising with suppliers on these matters.
- Assisting the development team in designing PCB circuits and layout for new products
- Developing test strategies for printed circuit boards
- Support embedded software engineering with developing low-level programming routines
- Developing utility PC software for product support activities
- Electronic repair work
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level within an Electronics discipline or similar.
You will be a confident communicator with exceptional attention to detail and possess excellent problem-solving skills along with the ability to work efficiently and to agreed timescales.
You will be perceptive in your approach and take initiative to drive improvements forward with the ability and willingness to develop further within the role.
