Logistics Co-Ordinator

K.A.G. Recruitment are delighted to be working on an opportunity for a Logistics Co-Ordinator to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors based in Oswestry.

Role: Logistics Co-Ordinator
Salary: £35,000 – DOE
Location: Oswestry
Hours of work: Monday -Friday 08.00-17.00 – flexible in line with business needs with hybrid opportunity

Purpose of the role: 
To ensure the smooth operation of all administration, despatch orders and transport for onward delivery to the wider business and worldwide customers.

  Duties:

• Receipt and consolidation of site orders and any load manifests from commercial into an export plan
• Booking through approved channels carriers for onward delivery, following through from pre arrival to onsite control, despatch and delivery to customer.
• Raise any non-conformances for period end reporting.
• Resolve issues for onward transit via all relevant stakeholders within guidelines.
• Ensuring haulier has all approved documents to ensure successful delivery.
• Produce Reports and Costings relevant to the operation

Skills:

• Warehouse administration ideally transport
• Use of Excel and able to generate reports and data sheets
• Developed interpersonal, negotiating and persuasive skills.

You will be a resilient individual who is able to work within agreed guidelines through to completion ideally with exposure to working in a chilled distribution operation.  You will have good knowledge of Logistics best practice with tenacity and attention to detail and have a confident approach to communicating with relevant stakeholders as and when required.
