Job Title: Transport Planner
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £33k to £38k- DOE
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week OTE | Typical shift patterns: 10am to 6pm

The Role:
We are seeking a confident, driven Transport Planner to support our client as their business continues to thrive through a period of growth and further investment.

Key Responsibilities of the Transport Planner will include:

• Day-to-day route planning and scheduling
• Balance service level, commercial cost and legal compliance to create viable routes across a fleet of vehicles.
• Work with the transport and warehouse functions to achieve efficiency
• Ensuring vehicle utilisation is efficient to maximise cost-effectiveness
• Maintaining compliance with Vehicle and Tachograph legislation
• Schedule vehicle maintenance work and rectify any vehicle defects
• Work with the wider business functions to achieve efficiency.

You will have previous Transport Planning experience and exposure to working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. 

Knowledge of working with Transport Management Systems and Driver time regulations is essential. 

A strong communicator with the ability to build professional relationships and good geographical knowledge of the UK road Network.
