Job Title: Planning Manager
Location: Shrewsbury
Salary: Upto 40,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday – 8am to 5pm (flexibility required due to business needs)
Job Type: Permanent
Reporting To: Retail General Manager

Purpose of the role:
Due to internal promotion, the opportunity has arisen for an individual who is looking to take the next step up in their Planning career with our client a leader in the Food Manufacturing industry.  This is a incredible business opportunity where you will play a central role in communication between various Departments and have responsibility for planning and managing inventories, production batch control and raw materials

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the Production Planning Team to deliver accurate production plans to achieve customer order service levels.
• Forecasting customer orders and planning a production schedule for the day.
• Capacity/Promotional Planning.
• Maximise use of products obtaining high yields and low waste.
• Communicating with Production Managers to inform of the production plans and explain any anomalies.
• Efficiently deploy and manage departmental resource.
• To manage, maintain, monitor and improve upon Key Performance.
• Indicators and standards expected. Attend regular internal and external meetings.
• Analysis of data, providing regular reports. Coach, mentor and develop the Planning Team.

You will ideally have proven experience working within a Food /FMCG Production Manufacturing environment and be looking for the next step up in your career.
