K.A.G. Recruitment are delighted to be working on several opportunities for Credit Controllers to join our client one of Europe’s leading privately-owned food processors at their Head Office based in Birmingham.
Role: Credit Controller
Hours: Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Purpose of the role:
The central credit control team is pivotal to ensuring an effective and efficient cash flow for the business and its production sites.
Liaising with external customers and local teams, every credit controller has a major part to play in the process.
Managing 100 to 150 live accounts, ranging from large PLCs to sole traders, with full responsibility for that ledger
Pro-actively managing the accounts; resolving queries, chasing payment by telephone and email
Applying for credit insurance; reviewing and assessing credit risk
Opening new accounts and undertaking regular reviews, to include putting accounts on stop
Working with sites’ sales and operations teams to ensure that the customer receives the highest level of service
Daily customer incoming funds allocation
The successful candidate will have previous experience within a similar role and possess strong communication skills. You will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to negotiate with customers.
You will ideally come from a Food Industry background however this is not essential and possess strong reconciliation experience and be qualified in or working towards CICM or AAT qualifications.
