So 12 months ago today, I was sat in a real pickle, I’d lost my job in a business that I loved and after 9 years working there, really didn’t know what to do with myself.
I sat for several weeks thinking about my options, do I go and work for another business? After having been made redundant twice in the last 10 years, I was extremely sceptical about this!
Or do I go it alone? This was extremely daunting – as it was just me, no back up, no network, no colleagues and no support.
If it hadn’t been for having a very supportive husband during that time, I may have never taken the plunge and been where I am today.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s been scary, challenging & the most amazing thing ever – all at the same time.
The days, weeks and months have flown by, and its certainly been testing and exhausting, but I have to say – by having people believe in me and showing that it’s not all about having a flashy office and a well-known brand, it’s about the delivery, support and guidance that you give to people.
I truly value everyone that I work with, I don’t take people for granted and after over 20 years in recruitment I can honestly say I wouldn’t change what I do for the world.
I have had the pleasure of meeting and working with some amazing clients and incredible candidates and we have formed trusted partnerships to ensure that it’s a two way street where we both offer commitment to the other.
Now 12 months in and having Amee on board with me – which is an absolute god send, we are extremely excited about what the next 12 months will bring. I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for believing in me and the business, and for supporting me to launch KAG.
